Paul D. Miller, Sr., 70, of Arcanum, died Sunday, April 29th, 2012 at Wayne Hospital, Greenville. Mr. Miller was born in Darke County on May 12, 1941, the son of the late David and E. Lucile (Anders) Miller. He was a member of Potsdam Church of the Brethren. Paul worked as a Correction Officer for Darke County for 21 years retiring in 2001. He was a former employee for McCalls, Dayton and Century Electric Motors, Gettysburg. Mr. Miller was a 4H Advisor for 39 years, Franklin Monroe FFA Booster President, and a former Darke County 4H Committee member. He was a member of the American Dairy Goat Association and a member of the Public Employee Retirees. Paul was preceded in death by his Daughter Mary Miller and his parents. He is survived by his wife Margaret "Marge" (Pence) Miller, whom he married August 12, 1961; Daughter Melody Phillips and husband Cedric of Arcanum; Sons Paul D. Miller, Jr. and wife Valissa of Verona and David G. Miller and wife Lara of Arcanum; Grandchildren Michael Miller and Fiancé Niki Dye, PFC William Taylor, Christopher Taylor, Cara Beth Miller, and Hayden Miller; Great Grandchildren Bryce Dye and Carmen Taylor; Sister Karen Miller of Arcanum and Brother Richard Miller and wife Claretta of West Milton. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Potsdam Church of the Brethren with Pastor Bob Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 5 - 8 PM at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum.
