Betty E. Sutton, 91, of Arcanum, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Rest Haven, Greenville. Mrs. Sutton was born in Arcanum on December 11, 1920, the daughter of the late Silven and Iva (Weaver) Mehaffie. Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pitsburg, a former member of the Pitsburg Dandylions, former Sunday School teacher, and a founding member of the Darke County Low Vision Support Group. She was a homemaker and farm wife. Betty was preceded in death by her 1st husband Evert E. Hissong, who died October 8, 1965 and her 2nd husband Gerald Sutton, who died November 10, 1984 and a brother Kenneth Mehaffie. She is survived by her Daughters Connie Spahr and husband Dale of Saginaw, MI, Peggy Didier and husband Charles of Arcanum, and Kay Roth of Fairborn; Grandchildren Lynn Spahr, Cindi (Dave) Galonska, Nancy (Dan) Glady, Renee (Scott) Osterfeld, Christi (Paul) Jasinski, Sheila (Eric) Campbell, David (Julie) Roth, Jason Roth; Great Grandchildren Joe and Ron Spahr, Sydney and Alexa Glady, Sarah, Courtney, and Connor Jasinski, Kayte, Jessica, and Lindsay Osterfeld, Cory and Emily Campbell and Kylie Roth. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pitsburg with Pastor Craig Fourman and Rev. Hal Robarge officiating. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday 1 - 3 PM at the church.
